What does that mean? We will start from what the word SaaS means, and go from there.
What is SaaS, to begin with?
There are two ways to buy Word and Excel: Office, which you install once and own, and Microsoft 365, which you pay for monthly or yearly.
Software you rent by the month or year rather than buy outright — like Microsoft 365 — is called SaaS. Most SaaS runs on computers owned by the company that made it, and we use it over the internet.

What did going from twelve and a half hours to ninety-three minutes bring us?
In 1913, Ford rebuilt its car factory around machines.
Within about a year, assembling one car went from twelve and a half hours to ninety-three minutes.
They could build far more, and the price of the same model fell from $825 to, in time, $260.
New technology has never shown its power when simply bolted onto the existing way of working. Things changed only when the whole way of building was rebuilt around it.
The same is true of SaaS: the means of building it has changed. AI can now build it and run it.
